I’m Josh Heidemann, Principal Recruiter and founder of FrancisLorraine, Inc. I’ve spent the past decade helping attorneys and law firms navigate the lateral hiring market, with a focus on building relationships rather than simply filling openings.

My work spans associate, counsel, partner, and leadership-level searches across a wide range of practice areas. I partner with law firms ranging from specialized boutiques to Am Law 100 firms, helping them identify attorneys who align with both their immediate needs and long-term growth objectives.

On the candidate side, I take a consultative approach. I work to understand an attorney’s experience, career goals, compensation priorities, and reasons for considering a move before introducing opportunities. The goal is not to push someone toward a position, but to provide market insight, create access to the right firms, and help them make an informed career decision.

I founded FrancisLorraine to offer a more personal approach to legal recruiting. My reputation and business are built on discretion, responsiveness, market knowledge, and long-term relationships with both attorneys and law firms.
